A small group of AUCP students, their language partners and AUCP Culture and Business of French Wines professor Joël Corre took advantage of the beautiful weather – 75°F in mid-October (!!) – and hiked the majestic Sainte Victoire mountain last weekend. Post-impressionist local painter Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) painted the Sainte Victoire nearly eighty times! A half-day excursion with an elevation of 3,317 ft brought our adventurous hikers face-to-face with a spectacular 360° view of the surrounding area : Aix, the nearby Zola reservoir and the 60-foot high Croix de Provence that crowns the mountain ridge. The day, in pictures, above. Thanks to our AUCP students for these great photos!
