AUCP Summer students came together after a long day of finals for a sunny soirée in the garden. In the presence of their host families, AUCP professors and staff, students shared a celebratory coupe de champagne to cap off their eventful summer spent in Aix-en-Provence. Cooking in Season students received a booklet of the recipes they had learned with Chef Bruno, they will be able to try their hand at French recipes once back home. Students shared excerpts from their Carnets de Voyage, a session-long creative writing assignment describing their experiences in Aix-en-Provence in the third person. Serving doubly as a French writing and vocabulary exercise as well as a journal of a summer spent in the South of France, the carnets were illustrated with photographs and drawings, giving an eloquent and funny window into AUCP student life.
Au revoir to this exceptional class of bright young women, our newest alumni. Bon voyage and bonne continuation, and hopefully, à bientôt!
