Oh oui, learning the language is only part of the process. Real « frenchification » requires a different kind of fluency; understanding the French mindset and the implications of cultural differences is key to true integration.

That’s why all AUCP students take « French Cultural Patterns, » a class that gives them valuable insights into the cultural elements underlying French language, behavior, and institutions.  In addition, AUCP programs provide countless opportunities for experiential learning (living with and like the French), allowing students to achieve both French language fluency and advanced intercultural skills that will serve them a lifetime.

Spend several hours sitting around a table with friends and family, and stay as long as food keeps coming.

Don’t worry: you aren’t the only one making spelling mistakes! Even the French struggle with writing their own language. How many n’s or m’s in that word again? What’s the silly grammar rule I should use for this particular sentence?
