AUCP Cooking in Season Course

AUCP Fall students are starting classes this week. In addition to the AUCP university coursework – with classes such as « Immigrant Identities in Contemporary France », « Current Issues in the European Union », « The French Feminine Archetype » and « The Culture and Business of French Wines », students in Aix will also be able to choose to participate in hands-on cours de cuisine given by renowned Chef Bruno Ungaro.

Chef Bruno will introduce AUCP students to the simple splendors of seasonal cooking in Provence. The « Cooking in Season » class is made up of four sessions. Each three-hour session allows students to explore the secrets of Provencal cuisine, using fresh local produce and quality ingredients. At the end of each session, students sit down with the Chef to taste and discuss the dishes prepared together (but shhh don’t tell, students taste test everything all during the class!). Bruno’s fall dishes include Fresh Savory Pumpkin with Goat Cheese, Creamy Butternut Soup, Roasted Spiced Salmon with Slow-Cooked Endives, Sisteron Lamb Braised in Red Wine, and Caramelized Pear Tarts with Vanilla Ice Cream, to name just a few…yum (or miam-miam, as they say in French)!

4 sessions, 12 hours instruction (additional fee required, course available in Aix only)
